The Independent Wealth Planners (IWP) team is looking to build ‘Britain’s best national IFA business’ and our investment is helping to support this ambition.
Unlike traditional ‘consolidators’, IWP don’t control the businesses they buy, but maintain them as local businesses, based on the belief that local firms are best served by local management.
James Hendry
Investment Director
James joined Gresham House Ventures as Investment Manager in December 2019, before being promoted to Associate Director in 2022.
He is primarily focused on making new investments into fast growing software businesses focused on process automation, data and analytics or cyber security. He led GHV’s investment into Fu3e and also sits on the board of SecureCloud+.
I enjoy identifying and working with management teams who are solving large existing problems in a pragmatic way, balancing strategic vision alongside day-to-day execution.
Prior to joining GHV, he spent five years at PwC, latterly working in the financial due diligence team. He is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and holds an MA in Economics and Accounting.
Outside of work James enjoys most sports, in particular golf, football and rugby.
