Gresham House Ventures is delighted to welcome Marieke Christmann as Portfolio Director. With a wealth of experience investing in and sitting on the boards of companies between £1mn and £100mn in revenues, Marieke brings substantial expertise in supporting founders and management from first investment to exit, with a particular focus on the software space.
In her new role, she will focus on value creation within Gresham House Ventures’ VCT portfolios and on developing the business’s portfolio management strategy, working alongside Managing Director of Portfolio, Clive Austin and Portfolio Partner, Ed Wass.
Prior to joining, Marieke was a senior investor and a member of the investment committee at pan-European venture capital fund Forestay. In this role, she led a team focused on enterprise SaaS startups across the UK and Europe and served on the boards of four portfolio companies. She previously led the growth investment team at Octopus Ventures, serving on nine portfolio company boards alongside managing new and follow-on investments and exits. She began her career in the leveraged finance space at NIBC in Frankfurt and Credit Suisse in London.
