01Health combines AI with real-time access to leading experts, allowing local providers to deliver cutting-edge specialist care
01Health is a specialist healthcare enablement platform that allows specialist clinicians to support broader networks of general practitioners remotely, helping expand access to specialist-led care through technology-enabled clinical workflows and oversight.
Founded in 2022 by former NHS doctor, Dr Sonia Szamocki, 01Health addresses the global gap in access to specialist healthcare. The company identifies healthcare verticals where access to specialist treatment is bottlenecked (by a shortage in specialists, geographical isolation or distance from major cities, and infrastructure challenges) and provides a necessary underlying platform to enable specialist services to be provided to patients at local clinics everywhere. The company describes its platform and services as ‘bringing Harley Street to the high street’.
Investment rationale
The investment will support the launch of the 01Health platform across the UK and its introduction to the US (where trials are currently underway and a Head of US commercial operations has been appointed to lead the expansion). For the first time, practices, practice groups and dental service organisations will be able to license the 01Health platform which, until now, has underpinned the 01Health-owned specialist dental platforms 32Co and Aerox Health.
